Sofia Pernas grew in Orange County, California. Sofia Pernas - a Moroccan native - was moved to California as a child and was five years old. Her big break was in 2015 when she graduated with an education from the University of California San Diego. Pernas started her acting career with small parts on NCIS as well as Leverage. The Young and the Restless offered Pernas the role Marisa. The actress was cast as Catalina as Catalina in Jane the Virgin after she was let go of the soap. The actress speaks four languages. She has appeared in The Brave with Hannah Rivera as well as The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between the years of 2019 and 2020 Pernas was portrayed by Lexi Vaziri as part of Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas is dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The relationship began following Chrishell Stause, the This Is Us actress split in the month of November. Pernas Hartley tied the knot secretly with Pernas on May 20, 2021.
